Lodi Arts Foundation: Music Salon Event Coordinator

Position:
Music Event Coordinator 

Reports To: Lodi Arts Foundation (LAF) Music Events Committee

Contract Start Date: December, 2024

Contract End Date:  March, 2025

About the position: LAF is seeking to hire a temporary part-time contractor to coordinate 2 small art/music events in January and March of 2025.

Mission: Lodi Arts Foundation makes Lodi a better place to live by developing and promoting the arts with artists and community partners to creatively engage all members of the larger community. 

The Lodi Arts Foundation, in partnership with the Lodi Arts Commission and the City of Lodi, is a nonprofit organization that advocates for the arts & artists in Lodi. Our goal is to create opportunities for local artists and art lovers to engage and experience the impact of creativity in the community.

Compensation:

This is an Independent Contractor position, a W9 will be submitted with a signed Letter of Agreement. A 1099 will be issued at the end of the year.  Contractor will be paid $500 per event on the following schedule

January 2025 (1st event date): $500

March 2025 (2nd event date): $500

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate two Music Salons for 2025, working with the LAF Music Event Committee

  • Oversee the budget set by the LAF board for each event

  • Secure 1-3 artists for each event under the direction of the LAF Music Event Committee

  • Secure a musical artist(s) for each event under the direction of the LAF Music Event Committee

  • Coordinate marketing and communications with LAF’s Marketing Coordinator (Bailey)

    • Obtain bio/headshots/pix from all artists

    • Assist with social media content as needed

    • Consult with graphic designer for event graphics and logos

    • Coordinate Poster and Postcard distribution

    • Ticketing 

      • Details TBA

  • Coordinate event details with the Hutchinson Street Square staff.

    • Confirm date,time and access time.

    • Specify needs for chairs/tables/trash receptacles/etc. to HSS staff 

    • Load out checklist and cleanup

  • Coordinate event details with LAF Music Event Committee and Volunteers

    • Pub Coordinator (Elisabeth)

    • Food Service Volunteers

    • Signage/Decorations/Setup 

      • Room Setup

      • Load-in

    • Prepare/Present Event Report for LAF Board after each event for monthly board meeting.
