Geneva Mello, Painter en Plein Air
My artwork draws inspiration from vintage discarded photographs. I find source images in antique stores, old family albums, and local history archives. The scenes are edited and altered to suggest dream and nostalgia, with compositions that allow for an open narrative. Rather than remain a discarded or forgotten photograph, the figures and their settings are transformed to explore gender roles, relationships, and power dynamics. Using pre-digital reference images as a starting point, I seek to create open narrative driven by memory activation. Working in a painterly style, I use drawing and paint media to create ambiguity, allowing marks and brushstrokes to form veils and layers to conceal and reveal different elements driving the narrative.

Natasha Blakely, Painter
As a self-taught artist, I was determined to find my own way, my own voice. "Mistakes" and "happy accidents" were part of that journey. I now have the privilege of guiding others in boosting their confidence and healing through painting. This couples my Bachelor's in education and a minor in counseling with 13 years of teaching art, the perfect blend.
I believe that "creativity takes courage" and I aim to help others discover the creative passion within.

Tony Segale, Painter
Traveling through streets, back roads or highways, I find myself enamored with what is just around the bend. Whether it be the landscape, a landmark or the local critter, the demand to create, to tell a story with the spontaneity of watercolor is the passion that quenches my thirst. Design is everything, failure is a stimulus. Every creative action risks failure. If the risks are little, the rewards are little.
