  • MJ Lazarski, Painter

To experience the beauty and joy of our existence here on earth is the path to achieve great happiness. My intention as an artist is to share some of this beauty from my perspective. My paintings attempt to explore the nuance of nature, inspired by working outside, en plein air. When not painting on location, I enjoy returning to my studio to work on commissions and in-depth studies.

  • Dita Lewis-Panter, Pottery

I started my clay journey in high school. Once I graduated, life happened. I came back to it 40 years later and have been going strong ever since. I attend different workshops with various ceramicists once or twice a year. This gives me new ideas and new innovations in creating.

I love the feel of the clay moving through my hands. Centering the clay is a spiritual, meditative process. I can always tell when I’m not quite centered myself when it takes too long to center my clay. Creating a pleasing vessel or functional piece knowing that it started as just a lump of clay is very satisfying. Deciding on color once a piece is ready for glazing can be so much fun. I also enjoy alternative firing; raku, saggar, wood, or soda, these are all fun options with unpredictable results. I’ve always loved horses and they play a big part in my life. I love to do horsehair raku and if I’m going to sculpt anything, it’s going to be a horse.

Large platters are one of my favorite forms to create. It gives me a large canvas to glaze and experiment on. These two platters were actually fired twice to get the end results.

  • Beverly Jensen, Painter

As an artist, I’m often pulled in different directions and enjoy exploring diverse techniques, mediums and subjects. I tend towards bright and bold colors and am particularly drawn to abstract work but have dabbled in florals, landscapes and occasionally assemblage and collage pieces as well.

Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to evoke an emotional response in the viewer through my use of color, composition, and subject matter. I believe that art should be fun and accessible to all! I hope that my work inspires a sense of wonder, joy, and connection to the world around us.

  • Renie Bartman, Photographer + Charcoal & Pencil

I am a Stockton native artist/photographer. I seek out and love to take part in many artistic endeavors. I have participated in several art shows around Northern California and the greater Kansas City Area. I love doing digital art and currently am using an Ipad Pro and the Pro-Create App. I have designed logos for local businesses and have a passion for invitation designs. I have always thought my true calling was behind a tattoo machine, at one point taking on an apprenticeship however the timing wasn't right and my shop ended up closing. My true love lies in doing charcoal and pencil drawings. I love trying new mediums!

I have quite the love for photography and currently am working with a Sony Alpha a7 III and several different Polaroid cameras.

I am currently taking clients and I am open to ALL your creative ideas.

  • Saul Cruz, Painter

I make art from unique vantage points. I like to look at the world and people from my own eyes and bring a new outlook to viewers

I am mostly inspired by the people and “pintores de la historia del arte". Graphite pencil and oil painting are my favorite art-making tools.

  • Keiyetta Ford, Painter & Digital Artist

I am local artist that has been passionate for the art all my life. I appreciate art because it offers so many different avenues to be creative. But I have seen that painting has helped me increase my artistic talent, even though I do some many different things.

I love creating colorful art pieces that catch people's eyes! I also enjoy making connections with people, because I always receive remarks that my art reminds them of someone in their life. I find that so fascinating!

With these new experiences it has helped me become more open minded to a variety of creative expressions and cherish individual’s unique characteristics.

  • Michelle Hensley, Ceramics

We all know how fun art can be, but I think it’s necessary for all ages. Art can provide a space for reflection, a break from our busy and sometimes stressful lives, or a relaxing way to connect to others. I’m so excited to bring ceramic to my beautiful hometown Lodi. I hope you will come see me and play in the clay!
