Wanna be an
Art Hop Artist?

The Art Hop features 10 artists showing & selling work, art-making activities for all-ages, live music, and partner exhibits at nearby Double Dip Gallery, Ruby’s Bakery, and the Lodi Community Art Center.

One of the most exciting things the Lodi Arts Foundation has been able to do since 2023 is pay artists to participate in the Lodi Art Hop. Each artist selected will be paid $75 in addition to whatever art sales they make throughout the day!

  • The Art Hop is a positive, inclusive space for the community to engage with art-making, support local artists, and experience art in community. The Lodi Art Hop is a quarterly event, put on by the Lodi Arts Foundation in partnership with the Lodi Arts Commission and City of Lodi. We are so honored to put on this free arts event that creates more opportunities for artists to connect and bask in the vibes of our local arts community.

    Information for Participating Artists:

    - Call time for Artists on the day of the event is 9:15am (unless otherwise noted in communications). The Art Hop is from 10a-2p at Veterans Park in Downtown Lodi, 305 W Pine St. Artists are required to participate in the entire event.

    - The Lodi Art Hop is an all-ages event that is open to the public, so please make sure the work you present is inclusive of an all-ages audience.

    - Each artist showing (& selling) work at the Lodi Art Hop will receive $75 as compensation for contributing (with the exception of performers/musicians who will receive $200 for two 30 minute performances at 10:45a and 12:30p).

    - Fanfare is highly encouraged, whatever that means for you!

    - There is enough space for all artists to bring a tent (recommended). If you don't have a tent we will make sure to put you in the shade. Artists are responsible for bringing their own tent, tables, chairs, easels, and anything necessary for your station. Please let us know whether you will be bringing a tent or only tables in your response to this email and we will try to accommodate everyone!

    - The event will be held outdoors and on grass, plan accordingly for weather. The grass can tend to be wet early in the morning. Don’t forget your chair!

    - An LAF volunteer can be made available if you need to leave your station to use the restroom.

    - The Lodi Arts Foundation will supply Art Hop branded templates & graphics for social media marketing via Canva and will tag artists in Lodi Arts Foundation Art Hop marketing campaigns.

    - Artists are asked to make a reasonable effort to promote their participation in the Art Hop to their audience (social media, email, etc) in the weeks leading up to the event. Don't forget to tag @lodiartsfoundation on Instagram so that we can share your posts as well!

    - Artists are responsible for any art sales.
